Road Closure Update

Flagstaff AZ – OPENINGS:

Both directions of I-40 will open at 7:00 p.m. tonight, Friday, January 22, 2010/

I-40 Eastbound from the US 93 South Junction east of Kingman

I-40 Westbound from Winslow

CLOSED HIGHWAYS:

I-17 Northbound at Exit 298 or the Sedona turn off will be closed through Saturday morning, Jan. 23, 2010 and is expected to open at 7:00 a.m.

ADOT has informed us that they hope to have both I-17 and I-40 opened up as soon as possible, no later than tomorrow morning.

SR 89A: In-between Sedona and Flagstaff will be closed through tomorrow, Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010.

SR 74: In-between I-17 and US 60

SR 87 Beeline Highway: Closed Northbound at Bush Highway and southbound at SR 188.

It is unclear when the closure will be lifted at Bush Highway to SR 188.

*Please advise viewers and listeners that off road areas along the Beeline Highway area also closed*

SR 260 closed between McNary and Eagar due to blowing and drifting snow

SR 273 at milepost 385 closed due to heavy snow going to the Sunrise Ski Resort.

US 60 in both directions at Wenden,

DPS and ADOT are advising drivers to avoid driving to the North Country until the highways are cleared.

RESTRICTIONS:

I-8:

Eastbound I-8 restricted to one lane at milepost 148 to upright at tractor-trailer which was blown over yesterday.
