Death due to Exposure at Lake Mead

Flagstaff, AZ – Park rangers say an Arizona man has died of exposure at Lake Mead after his SUV became stuck in the sand. A spokesman for The National Park Service said yesterday the body of 43 year old Steve Corso of Bullhead City was found by a park visitor late last week on a dirt road about half a mile from his stranded vehicle. Investigators found no food or water nearby. But there was evidence Corso tried to chew into a cactus for water. Authorities say it's unclear how long he was in the area before his vehicle became stuck in a wash. Corso was only 15 miles from his home.
