Those five words led McDougall on an epic journey to find the world's greatest distance runners. Along the way McDougal becomes not just a journalist but a runner in one of the greatest races the world would never see: pitting America's best ultramarathoners against the legendary endurance of the Tara-oo-mara Indians, hidden in the Copper canyons of northern Mexico.
