Flagstaff, AZ – The Museum of Northern Arizona in Flagstaff opens a new exhibit this weekend of a very strange-looking dinosaur. The Therizinosaur was a one-ton creature from the Cretaceous Period with a giant body and sickle-like-claws. And until recently, it was thought to have existed only in Asia. But in 2000, MNA researchers found the skeleton of a Therizinosaur imbedded in some rocks in Utah. Dr. David Gilette, a paleontologist with the Museum, was there for the find. He spoke with Arizona Public Radio's Gillian Ferris Kohl about the mysterious dinosaur that looks a little bit like Edward Scissorhands.
