The U.S. Forest Service is extending the comment period on a river management plan for Fossil Creek.

The plan is designed to protect the ecology of the area and will likely limit the number of people who are allowed to visit. Forest Service officials say the extension is due to the high volume of comments they received and issues with comment submissions over the holidays. The new comment deadline is January 27th
