Shelly Watkins

Shelly's 23-year career in broadcasting began in Flagstaff in the late 1980's. After graduating from NAU, she spent more than a decade working at Channel 2 - Flagstaff's NBC Affiliate - a reporter, news director, and ultimately, general manager. In 2000, she moved to Los Angeles, to become Lead Writer for the KNBC. From there, she continued her career producing and writing news in both the San Francisco area, and in Phoenix. In 2007, she returned to Flagstaff, joining KNAU in July of that year. When not working, Shelly enjoys writing, creating metal art and jewelry, refurbishing old houses, and spending time with family and friends.
