Joanne MacIsaac

Membership Services Coordinator

After a number of years in the for-profit sector, Joanne decided that it was time to put more of her passion and inner voice behind her career and shifted her focus to nonprofit work.  Prior to joining the staff at KNAU in 2012, she worked for The Nature Conservancy, Maine Audubon, and The Vermont Community Foundation, gaining a strong and diverse background in project coordination, fundraising and nonprofit administration. Having grown up in a home where public media was a highly valued resource, she feels strongly about the importance of people investing in local public radio, and loves connecting with listeners and hearing what they enjoy and value about KNAU.

A native of New Hampshire, Joanne suffers from a bit of wanderlust and enjoys discovering new regions, communities, back roads and trails. She has lived in Maine, Vermont and Montana over the years, and traveled extensively camping, hiking and kayaking around New England and the Western US. When not at work, you'll find Joanne enjoying live music, baking, volunteering, working around her yard, taking photographs, and enjoying lots of outdoor adventures with her dog, Maddie.

Ways To Connect

It’s Sunday afternoon on day 3 of the spring pledge drive. All the volunteers have gone home and the task of preparing for tomorrow is well underway.

Short pledge drive means two things—a shorter number of days for the drive as well as fewer hours on-air during the drive.  But what does that really mean?  Well, it means returning about 36 hours of programming to you AND continuous listening for our Classical Music and Diane Rehm fans.

When KNAU made the commitment to a short fall pledge drive, we knew it was a bold experiment.

There's only one day left in KNAU's short fall pledge drive - a mere 5 hours of on-air fundraising - and just 19% of our goal left to raise!

Thanks to listener support, KNAU has already raised 64% of our goal in this SHORT fall pledge drive.

What's that?  You don't hear the telephones ringing?

That's right! As part of the SHORT fall pledge drive, KNAU is bringing you continuous programming today.
That means you'll hear Sunday Baroque, Weekend Edition Sunday and even Hearts of Space without pledge breaks.

And, as promised, we will be drawing a winning name for ANOTHER iPad on Sunday night.

Who knew that Saturday morning "work" could be so much fun?!!

The first day of fall pledge drive at KNAU rode in with a Wild West theme.

NOW is the time!  KNAU’s SHORT Fall Pledge Drive begins at 7:00 am today - Friday, October 12 - with a $25,000 listener challenge!

Show your support for the news, programming and classical music you value every day by leveraging the power of this fantastic challenge.

Make a gift between 7 am and 9 am this morning, and your contribution will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $25,000.  You will also be entered into ALL of the daily iPad sweepstakes as well as the grand prize sweeps!

KNAU has announced a shortened annual fall pledge drive, (insert cheering sounds).

For many residents throughout Northern Arizona, KNAU provides one of the few sources for in-depth news and information as well as the only 24 hour classical music service.

With over 60% of KNAU’s operating funds coming from community support, the staff at KNAU knows that shortening the drive is a budgetary risk.
