Janice came to KNAU in 2012. She has nearly 30 years of news experience in both radio and television. Her first job in public radio was as Morning Edition host at KNPR in Las Vegas.  Throughout her career, Janice has extensively covered political news in both Nevada and West Virginia. She also enjoys feature reporting on subjects that inform us about ourselves. Janice is a yoga devotee, plays piano and is attempting to play the ukulele.

Guor Marial is a runner.  He glides around a blue turf oval track. His steps are quick and light.  His back gleams with sweat in the July morning sun. He jokes with his training partner.

“Tired…that’s life man. Yeah, that’s life,” he laughs.

“He doesn’t mind because it is part of the game,” his training partner Fidele Jefferson tells me. “ Tired and keeps going.”

After 45 Years, N. AZ Has a Shooting Range

The Northern Arizona Shooting Range opened to a happy throng of gun enthusiasts this weekend.  Many of them have waited nearly 45 years for an official place to practice their marksmanship.
