National Park Service en Off-Road Access to be Expanded in Glen Canyon <p>The National Park Service has proposed adding more than a dozen areas for off-highway vehicle use within the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. As Arizona Public Radio’s Ryan Heinsius reports, the plan is designed to halt illegal off roading. Attached as an amendment to transportation legislation, McCain called the deal &quot;a major step&nbsp;forward.&quot;</p><p>The amendment allows the Park Service some freedom in regulating the quantity, location, and time of day in which tour flights can operate.
